Fortitude and Fidelity

The history of Junction Park State School intersects with significant developments in the history of Brisbane and the rest of the state, such as when the Chairman of the Junction Park School Committee, Digby Frank Denham, was the Premier of Queensland a century ago.

But more importantly the school’s history is a place that connects past and present members of the Annerley community, as well as many old & new residents across Brisbane’s southern suburbs.

The Parents and Citizens Committee of the Junction Park State School has commissioned a project for this history to be professionally collated, written, and published over the next 16 months (November 2011 to March 2013).  The climax of the project will be the 125^th anniversary celebration around 30^th April 2013.  The schedule of the Junction Park State School History Project is as follows:
